No Brakes Racing 2009 is comprised of Expert, Sport and Junior racers who participate in a variety of disciplines including Downhill, Mountain Cross, XC, Road, BMX, Dual Slalom, Super-D and Cyclocross. Ranging in ages from 13 - 50+, with a variety of backgrounds and experiences, you'll see No Braker's racing and participating in bike events all across North America, including the Sea Otter Classic, SRC Series, Mountain States Cup and National Racing events. And we are proud to give back to our trails through work events and bike advocacy. Each No Braker brings unique skills and qualities to the team, which has made us what we are today. But we couldn't do this without our sponsors.  Mob 'n the Mojave, Bootleg Canyon, President's Day Weekend: A great weekend of racing was had to start the season right! No Braker's Moses Eason, Mike Knowles and Les Price were up on course while Tim Kostner was seen around the venue. Over 200 riders came out to try their hand - from top pros like the Atherton's to those just starting racing. Our No Brake racers all finished in the top 10 of their classes for DH with: Les, 1st; Mose, 5th; and Mike, 6th. Awesome job!
Southridge Winter Series, Fontana, CA: No Brakes has been a long time supporter of the Southridge races and we're keeping the tradition this year. Southern California team members Laura Drexler and Wil White have been out and racing for this early season series. |

The No Brakes team is happy to welcome two new members for the 2009 team, John Sloan and Chris McCarthy. We're all very excited for our No Braker new mom, Laura Drexler. Laura and her husband adopted a beautiful baby girl at the end of last year. Of course, that has stopped Laura from still getting out and racing, way to go girl! And, congrats to our two Northern California No Brakers Dana Beckstoffer and Michael Yares. Dana and Michael got engaged recently :-) The rest of the team has been preparing for the 2009 season, as you see Patrick Bryce perfecting his cornering skills. The No Brakes members are also staying actively involved with trail advocacy. No Brakers Michael Yares, Scott Anthony, Moses Eason and Kim Gilchrist are all Park Stewards/Mountain Bike Patrol for the City of Phoenix parks. Any many of us go out to the trail building days for the Black Canyon Trail as well as being involved in other projects throughout Arizona.
